Mountainside Christian Academy was a God-given place for me to spend my formative years. From kindergarten through my senior year, I was surrounded by teachers and friends who showed me what pursuing excellence and loving Christ looked like. My character developed under a staff that was committed to who I was as a whole person, and I was taught how to work hard and fulfill high expectations in academics, sports, and spiritual and social life in an encouraging environment. My years at MCA can be summed up in a phrase I heard again and again: "Always do your best!" Mountainside did its best with me and made me who I am today.

Why do we drive 100 miles a day so that Abby and Luke can attend MCA? Someone has stated, "The best education is education in the best things." More explicitly, God in the Holy Scriptures commands us to rear our children in the training and admonition of the Lord, and to weave His teaching into the daily fabric of our lives (Ephesians 6; Deuteronomy 6). That, in a nutshell, is why. Moreover, we've found the experience of the last three school years to be entirely worth the cost and effort. Not only do godly teachers teach Abby and Luke, but they model the sacrificial Christian life as well. Our daughter and son have benefited from their fine academic classes, the good sports program, the leadership training in Student Council, the dramas, the fundraisers, and day-today interaction with students and teachers striving to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We as parents are learning the vital importance of supporting a Christian school in the midst of an increasingly godless, government-controlled public education system. It is our prayer that Abby and Luke, in turn, will continue the legacy of commitment to God's way in the education of their own children. We thank MCA for the high Christian standards it has established and maintained. Go MCA! To God be the glory!

Mountainside is very special to me. I had the privilege of attending from k-12 grades. Now my daughter is a student and I'm so thankful that she can get the same high quality education that I received. Mountainside is a huge blessing to our family.
Andrew Gushee, Class of 1998
My children were plucked out of mediocrity and placed here at MCA at just the right time in their teenage development. The have been challenged to step up and try new activities and be around other christian youth which The Lord had orchestrated for their good and His glory!

Mountainside Christian Academy was such a blessing and support to us in our child raising years. We are so thankful for their time there! Two of our children met their future spouses at MCA! Many grandchildren later, we are so very thankful!
